The first 2m SSB E-Skip opening in the midwest to Florida occurred on 22 June 2009. Several stations had to work each other at over 1000 miles during the brief opening.

Video shows how conditions were this morning on 18 June 2009 on 144 MHz and above. Jim/W4ZRZ opened up the band out of EM63 Alabama to the northeast. We quickly worked thru 432 then 222 MHz and then the surprise on 1.2 GHz on Voice.
