Because of the power this tube requires general tube testers are not able to interrogate this tube. I have built a custom tester that can supply plate voltages between 0 and 1250 volts and a grid voltage between 0 and -100 volts. In addition, the tester can supperimpose a small sinusoidal signal on the grid and directly measure the mutual transconductance through the plate which is read directly off of a simple analog meter. Vintage components are used as well as a custom wound transformer to supply specific voltages.</description>
